Will Suzanne Saperstein Sell Her Estate To Mariah Carey?

Will Mariah Carey Buy Suzanne Saperstein's Estate?

It’s been a when since any of us have heard much about “billionaire divorcee” Suzanne Saperstein, though real estate watchers have kept a very close eye. It looks like the $ 125 million home – known as Fleur De Lys – may just are sold. Suzanne Saperstein may end up not needing a mortgage loan modification, if the latest rumors are true.

Has Suzanne Saperstein's home finally been sold?

The home of Suzanne Saperstein has been on the market in the depressed California housing market. Unlike many other multi-million dollar homes, though, Suzanne Saperstein refused to slash the price on her 12 bedroom, 15 bathroom, 35,000-square-foot palace. The current rumor is, though, that Mariah Carey has put a bid in on the estate with hubby Nick Cannon. A first edition library, screening room, multiple kitchens, and a full five acres are also involved within the purchase price. Depending on the down payment and loan that she gets, Mariah Carey would be looking at a $709,000 mortgage payment on a 30-year, good interest rate loan.

Suzanne Saperstein’s divorce

Of course, Suzanne Saperstein is known for more than just her multi-million dollar home. David Saperstein, an oil billionaire, was married to Suzanne Saperstein for years. After three kids and many years of marriage, Suzanne was served with divorce papers during a layover on the company jet. Her husband divorced her so he could be with the nanny. This incredibly high-profile divorce was one of probably the most expensive in L.A. history.

Suzanne Saperstein the rogue socialite?

Rather than sitting around and doing nothing since her divorce, Suzanne Saperstein, previous Swedish model, has been trying to “explore new things.” She has taken up competitive Latin dancing, began a clothing line for equestrians, helped her daughters start a drunk-driving awareness fashion line and more. Suzanne Saperstein is also spending $1 million or more on beginning up a gender-neutral ballroom, which will welcome same-sex ballroom couples right along with opposite-gender couples. Though she's not being incredibly public about it, Suzanne is making a name for herself, if very expensively.
