A severe injury during rehearsal for their U2 360 tour has sent Bono into emergency spinal surgery. The U2 360 tour has been postponed because Bono has to take a significant amount of time to recover. U2 and Bono have said they will reschedule the performances as soon as it is safe for Bono to perform.

U2 360 tour rehearsal where Bono was injured

Rehearsals for the U2 360 tour have been held in Munich, Germany for the last month or so. Golden-Globe-nominated frontman Bono severely injured his back during last week's rehearsal. The statement released from Bono's doctors indicated that he had “suffered severe compression of the sciatic nerve … a serious tear in the ligament, and a herniated disc.” Before his emergency surgery, Bono was also suffering from partial paralysis in his legs.

U2 Tour, U2 360 postponed

Because of Bono's injury, the U2 360 tour has been postponed. Millions of fans used cheap payday loans to buy tickets before they sold out – but now they'll have to wait. The U2 360 concert is being rescheduled by LiveNation for sometime in 2011, and ticketholders will most likely be able to exchange their tickets. Given a ticket cost of $ 200 million or more, LiveNation and U2 could be out millions of dollars should they chose to cancel the U2 360 tour. U2's stop at the Glastonbury music festival has also been canceled.

U2 360 tour will be back on the road as soon as possible

U2’s Bono has personally called a few of the organizers of U2 tour date locations, to apologize for the delay. In his conversation with the head of the Glastonbury Festival, Bono said he was “heartbroken.” Bono's doctors have declared that he should not tour until he is fully recovered.
