Siobahn Magnus was voted off American Idol on Wednesday, April 28. The American Idol voting results April 28 episode had Mike, Casey, and Siobahn within the bottom 3. There was no save for her, so the contestant from Marstons Mills, Massachusetts, (an alliterative place to come from) was sent packing. She got drop kicked out the backdoor back to Martsons Mills Massachusetts.

Siobahn Magnus has had some rocky performances, but had not yet been in the bottom 3. That said, this one was a bit of a shocker. Siobahn was easily one of probably the most original performers from this year's American Idol. Despite that it might have been expected that she would not win, it was a shock to see her sent home in such a seemingly unceremonious fashion.
Then there were five
The last five are Crystal Bowersox, Aaron Kelly, Casey James, Mike Lynche, and Lee DeWyze. This year had been predicted to be a girls’ year, but the guys rebounded. Mike Lynche, or Big Mike, hasn’t been out of the bottom 3 for several weeks running. Casey James has been hanging around the bottom a bit since his rock' n 'roll shtick has been starting to wear thin. Crystal Bowersox, or Mamasox as she's been nicknamed, seems to be the hands down preferred to win, and just a little quick cash on her to win would be a safe bet.
The viewers have spoken
In all fairness, Siobahn had been slipping a bit. Her version of “Any Man of Mine” was a step in the right direction, but too little too late. She had been getting just a little screechy. There was no denying her power several weeks ago, as she thoroughly blasted away nearly each other competitor with "Paint it Black" on Rolling Stones week, but past performances don't matter — it's the week to week that counts. The viewers said their piece, and also the only performer approaching interesting on American Idol season 9 is going home.
