There were hopes this morning that skeletal remains found in southern Idaho might be those of Susan Powell. The body, nevertheless, did not match the description of missing West Valley, Utah resident Susan Powell. Police departments on both sides of the border have confirmed that the body found in Idaho is not Susan Powell. Because of the time forensic testing may take, it could take six weeks or more to identify the body found in Ammon.
