Though the exact nature of the decision will never be known, it appeared that Conan O’Brien had been being bumped from the traditional time slot of the “Tonight Show” at 11:35 p.m. to 12:35, for the sake of getting Jay Leno into better ratings. Why is there such a time gap for his new show and leaving his last? Supposedly it is because he had to wait 6-months before he could appear regularly on any other TV show.
