Grandma flippant as her ten year old gives birth

There are reports coming out reading "10 year old gives birth." Some controversy has erupted consequently The birth was in Spain, in Jerea de la Frontera, a city in Andalusia. Following childbirth at ten years old, the girl is pleased and resting comfortably based on the brand new grandma. The household are Roma, also known as Gypsies, and also the brand new grandmother Olimpia and her pregnant ten year old went to Spain for the birth. Marriages and pregnancies that many cultures consider drastically, even criminally, young are not unusual at all among Roma.

10 year old has a baby

A story that began in Andalusia has gotten really popular. "10-year-old gives birth" is the name of the story. A baby girl had been born in Roma, the Huffington Post reports. Jelez de la Frontera is the 10 year old who had the child. Olimpia is the mother of the girl. She is keeping a private identity for her daughter. The father is believed to be a 13-year-old male, whose name and whereabouts are unverified, but he is believed to be in Romania. He isn't with the mother. Their relationship ended. This isn't an unusual event, Olimpia says as a new grandmother. She says that getting married and giving birth is something women do young in her culture. The marriages are often arranged, despite the fact that both arranged and underage marriages are illegal in numerous countries.

Record age was 5

A Peruvian girl is the record keeper as the youngest mother on record. In 1939, AOL News reports, Lina Medina gave birth at age 5. Some children start puberty really early which is called precocious puberty. A hormone imbalance makes this happen. The father is usually arrested when a female with precocious puberty has a child. In Spain, the legal age of consent for minors is 13, and breach of that brings charges of child abuse. Most teen pregnancies come from Andalusia in Spain. In fact, in 2008, 48 of the 177 births from girls younger than 15 originated from Andalusia.

It's just a different culture

The very young age at which some are married is one of the most frequent criticisms of the Roma culture in Europe. The us government expelled many of the Roma living in France most recently.
