$1.5 million in chips stolen from Bellagio casino

Las Vegas police are on the lookout for a new bandit. Metro police are looking for a man who has robbed 2 casinos. The Bellagio robbery ended up costing the casino $1.5 million worth of playing poker chips. It is likely that the very same person who stolen the Bellagio has done this before. Just a few days ago, the Suncoast Gambling house was robbed in a comparable fashion. This guy won’t have to take out a payday cash loans anytime soon, unless he is busted.

Simply done Bellagio robbery

Though the security at Las Vegas casinos is perceived as very good, the Bellagio robbery was remarkably simple. Around 4 a.m., a 5-foot-10 inch tall man went the Bellagio and parked his motorcycle at the valet on Tues, the LV metro police explained. While keeping his helmet on, he walked to a craps table, pulled a gun and demanded poker chips. The dealer handed over approximately $1.5 million worth of chips. The Bellagio thief quickly left the gambling house. He left on his motorcycle after getting the chips in his backpack.

Bellagio thief may have stolen Suncoast

The thief on his motorcycle may have made a stop. This would have been another place before the Bellagio. The cashier's cage in Suncoast was stolen of chips by a man with a gun who was wearing a motorcycle helmet on Dec. 9. Both robbers also used a black sport motorcycle as a getaway car. Suncoast did not lose as much in chips though in the robbery. Only about $20,000 was stolen. Police believe that the consistent pattern indicates that the exact same individual committed both robberies.

Was there an accomplice to the Bellagio robbery?

There is "legendary" security in many of the Las Vegas casinos. Many wonder how a man who was working alone was able to pull off, in a week, 2 large robberies. The Suncoast robbery occurred during a large poker tournament, when security may have been focused elsewhere. The Bellagio robbery, however, was a simple walk-in and walk-out affair that netted $1.5 million worth of chips. Many want to know if the Bellagio robbery was more than it appears or if it really is that easy
