TSA says no to armed United States of America solder - because of nail clippers

Soldiers returning home from Afghanistan have given the media yet one more chance to poke at TSA, reports Red State. Despite the truth that United States of America Customs had already inspected the solders’ possessions and separated them from their ammo before putting them on the flight out of Afghanistan – and the soldiers had not left the plane before touching down in Indianapolis – Transportation Security Administration confiscated finger nail trimmers from one of the soldiers once the plane had been on United States soil.

Nail clippers vs. M4 carbine rifle threats

While TSA was technically following the rules, the tiny nail clippers which were confiscated pale when compared with the M4 carbine rifle the solder had been carrying. There may not have been any ammo within the gun but a highly trained soldier wouldn't need any ammo to do harm. Tiny nail clippers would be hard to maneuver. Because people are mad about the full body scanners and groping pat downs, the TSA has already been within the news a lot, and this incident is bound to make that happen once again. A Twitter contest called #touchedbytsa where a winner can get an iPod Touch is being kept.

More of the TSA nail clippers story

Red State reports that airport security had to take all 330 on board into a holding plane after landing the plan in Indianapolis. All the soldiers on the flight – at least 100 – were carrying firearms, from M4 carbines and M9 pistols to M-240B machine guns. None of the weapons were loaded at all. The U.S. Customs secured all of the ammo too. It seemed that TSA had been hoping all the baggage can be unpacked by the soldiers piece by piece for review. Of course, it had already been screened by customs.

The soldiers all had their luggage sniffed for an hour by bomb-sniffing dogs reports Red State. Then the soldiers sat for a couple of hours before TSA inspected them again –and the nail clippers were discovered. The nail clippers weren't shown the TSA before this. So far as Red State and other media sources can tell, this had been a thinly disguised TSA power trip. Some think finding the nail clippers was a bonus. The TSA had been glad to find them.

1 billion individuals can't afford any healthcare

Over a billion individuals are only able to imagine medical care

According to the WHO, around one billion individuals cannot afford any form of paid medical care whatsoever. Reuters accounts the issue is even more complicated than that, however. Each year, the high cost of health care takes 100 million paying consumers into the arms of poverty. Post resource – One billion people cannot afford health care, says WHO by Personal Money Store.

Some nations unable to get health care getting more productive to make up for this

The focus of WHO's worldwide report on health care tends to be all about financing. There is apparently a lot of countries right now that cannot afford health care but have a substantial amount people in them. It is very important, with universal coverage as the goal, that you will find solutions to make medical care more affordable by doing things like fund-raising measures and improving taxes.

David Evans, the WHO’s director of health systems financing, said in a media briefing that the current state of medical care worldwide forces people to choose between a rock and a hard place.

"When (health services) aren’t affordable, it means you either choose not to use them or you suffer severe financial hardship," he said.

Getting global medical care where it should be with WHO

WHO has a method to stop those paying for health care now to continue getting it instead of getting into poverty. The group states the country's total health care spending amounts should have out of pocket payments between 15 and 20 percent. Currently, you will find at least 33 low- to middle-income nations where direct payments amount to more than 50 percent of total health spending. The amount spent ought to, in theory, drop considerably if the governments diversified their revenue sources. Some suggestions within the report were sin, taxes, currency transaction taxes and wealth taxes.

The wrong method to use health care

Health care is wasted when you will find 1 billion people who can't pay for to get it. Really costly drugs and treatments that are unnecessary are where a ton of money goes in global health care spending. In fact, WHO director general Margaret Chan states 20 to 40 percent goes to this. There isn't that much medical training either. That makes the inefficiency even worse. The medical care dilemma can't be solved with quick answers which we know when we look at the fact that 67 times more than the international average for medicine is paid by some countries.

“There is no magic bullet to achieving universal access," said Chan. "Nevertheless, a wide range of experiences from all over the world suggests that nations can move forward faster.”

The WHO confirms a most horrifying trend in their recent study: one billion individuals cannot pay for paid medical care of any kind. In addition, the high cost of health care drags about 100 million into the pits of poverty every year, reports Reuters.

Getting more efficient because of deficiency of cash for medical care in countries

The WHO’s global report on health care pays particular attention to financing, as the number of countries with large numbers of individuals who cannot pay for medical care has growth considerably. Taxes and fund-raising measures are used in order for making sure that more individuals are able to afford health care. With universal coverage as the ultimate goal, this is extremely important.

Individuals have to determine whether to really get health insurance because of the state of medical care worldwide right now based on Who's director of health systems financing, David Evans.

"When (health services) aren’t affordable, it means you either choose not to use them or you suffer severe financial hardship," he said.

Getting worldwide health care where it should be with World Health Organization

World Health Organization has a way to stop those paying for health care now to continue getting it instead of getting into poverty. The group says the country's total medical care spending amounts should have out of pocket payments between 15 and 20 percent. There are 33 low-to middle-income countries right now that pay way too much in out of pocket payments. More than 50 percent is paid for them. With the suggestion of sin, taxes, currency transaction taxes and wealth taxes in the report that governments could diversify their revenue sources with, there should be less spent.

Not really using medical care correctly

Health care is wasted when you will find 1 billion people who cannot pay for to get it. According to WHO director general Margaret Chan, 20 percent to 40 percent of all global medical care spending is wasted through purchase of costly, unnecessary drugs and treatments. There is not that much medical training either. That makes the inefficiency even worse. Add on the belief that some countries pay as much as 67 times more than the international average for some medicines, and it becomes apparent the medical care dilemma isn’t one that will be solved quickly.

“There is no magic bullet to achieving universal access," said Chan. "Nevertheless, a wide range of experiences from all over the world suggests that nations can move forward faster.”

Guandique found responsible in homicide of Chandra Levy

Ingmar Guandique was determined responsible for the homicide of Chandra Levy. Guandique, an illegal immigrant from El Salvador, was found guilty after the jury deliberated for four days. The court case is nevertheless a subject of controversy. You will find some who think Guandique was framed.

Murdering of Chandra Levy gets Ingmar Guandique convicted

After years of the case going unsolved, Ingmar Guandique was found guilty after the trial over the Levy homicide, based on MSNBC. Levy was an intern in WA, D.C., and was allegedly having an affair with then-Congressman Gary Condit. Ingmar Guandique is already serving a 10-year sentence for attacks on 2 women in Rock Creek Park in WA, D.C., from 2001. Levy’s remains were discovered in Rock Creek Park in 2001, a year after she was reported missing. What led prosecutors to try the already incarcerated inmate was testimony from his cellmate, who claimed that Guandique had admitted to killing her, however nothing else. Many debate about the murder trial. This is because many think Guandique is being blamed for something he did not do.

Odd evidence

Gary Condit was always acting suspiciously at the trial while even taking the Fifth Amendment at one point. This is what the illegal immigrant, Guandique, had his defense explain. Condit took the Fifth Amendment which can be done in order to stay away from being incriminated. The Washington Post explains that you will find also some concerns with the physical proof pointed out by the defense. Guandique ever coming into contact with Levy can't even be proven through physical evidence. A homicide weapons was never discovered by anyone. Also, the DNA on Levy's running tights didn't match Condit or Guandique's DNA. There wasn't any extra testing done even though the prosecution suggests the evidence may have just been handled improperly thus causing DNA to be tampered with.

Troubling conclusion to the high profile case

The problem is that the evidence does not all match up like it should. Due to Guandique's past crimes though, he may very well be responsible when it comes to Chandra Levy. The justice has been taken care of for Levy. Hopefully it was right though.

Tyner wouldn't allow Transportation Security Administration to molest him prior to airline flight

The invasive nature of post-9/11 airport security in American has become downright inappropriate, claims Tyner. ABC News reports that all Tyner was trying to do had been hop a flight out of San Diego. Full body scanners that expose genitals to video voyeurs and patdown procedures that amount to sexual groping were on the TSA menu, however John Tyner wasn’t buying any of it. For the trouble of protecting his dignity, John Tyner was shown the door to leave the airport terminal. Post resource – Passenger John Tyner calls TSA patdown sexual assault by Personal Money Store.

’If you touch my junk, I’m going to have you arrested,’ is what had been heard from John Tyner

The airport security screening problems have bothered passengers like John Tyner for a when. You will find more aggressive front hand patdowns as a result of the TSA authorizing it. This has led to numerous claiming sexual molestation or sexual assault has happened including passengers and pilots. On YouTube you are able to watch the TSA security run in that John Tyner recorded with his cell phone video camera for 30 minutes.

The response Tyner gave to the TSA official had been "If you touch my junk, I’m going to have you arrested." As you would guess, it seemed like a very severe threat to the TSA official. An invasive search was something John Tyner wanted to get out of. The video clip had some dialogue in there noteworthy. This is what it was:

TSA Supervisor, in regards to the groin patdown: “If you’re not comfortable with that, we can escort you back out and you don’t have to fly today.”

John Tyner: "OK, I don’t understand how a sexual assault can be made a condition of my flying.”

TSA Supervisor: “This is not considered a sexual assault.”

John Tyner: “It would be if you were not the government. … I’d like only my wife and maybe my doctor to touch me there.”

Opt Out Day gives patdowns to clog the system with

As a protest to Homeland Security and TSA’s policy of using either the Advanced Imaging Technology that strips people naked in a virtual sense or submitting to "enhanced" patdowns, Brian Sodegren and the online group Opt Out Day are encouraging Thanksgiving fliers to take a stand. Opt out of the quick scan option and produce the kind of patdown gridlock that will make the government take notice, suggests Sodegren.

Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano is urging customers to "use some common sense," but evidently the backlash of anger from pilots, flight attendants and passengers like John Tyner has rocked the (air) boat.

GOP uses missile protection in technique to defeat NewSTART treaty

Missile security is often an element of strategy among geopolitical rivals. However conflicts over missile protection have become internalized within the United States of America Senate. The issue has been co-opted by GOP senators to stand in the way of President Obama’s national security goals. The GOP’s target is the new Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty President Obama and Russian President Dimitri Medvedev signed last spring that awaits Senate ratification.

NewSTART relating to relations among the U.S. and Russia

Missile protection as it relates to the NewSTART treaty, which had bipartisan support until this week, is being used by certain Republicans as an opportunity for political posturing. The Obama administration trying to improve national security and U.S./Russia relationships has relied on NewSTART treaty for this. The ratification of the NewSTART treaty by the Senate is so important that such incidents as last summer’s Russian spy scandal and this week’s extradition of Russian arms dealer Viktor Bout to the United States of America have had no ill effects on U.S./Russia relations. 10 GOP senators and Arizona Republican senator Job Kyl are working to stop the vote until the Democrats lose six senate seats next year.

GOP wants to START over

Starting back up on-the-ground inspections and stopping strategic nuclear missiles is really significant for the NewSTART treaty. The old START treaty expired in 2009 meaning this is even more important. Kyl and his new acolytes are saying that the Senate needs to start over because more money is needed for modernizing the arsenal that remains after the reductions. Ironically, that point was brought up earlier, and in response the administration added $4.1 billion for such a purpose. In the treaty, specific language is used for the treaty. They say that United States missile protection options could be restricted due to this.

Exactly what NewSTART really states

The number of missile protection systems the United States can build is not listed within the NewSTART treaty at all. It also doesn’t require the United States of America to cut any already existing systems. Military Defense Agency chief General Patrick O’Reilly, in a statement before the Senate Armed Services Committee in April, said the NewSTART treaty actually reduces restraints on missile protection. The United States of America can now test missiles that would be there to take out other missiles; which was limited within the old START treaty.

Placing rate caps on loan companies rewards few

There are some fairly typical restrictions passed on the loan industry. One of one of the most usual is rate caps on rates of interest. It may seem like it is a good thing to do to protect consumers from unfair rates of interest. However, the typical used to judge the rate of interest does not get brought up. Almost half of all cash advance loan companies are small company owners, and their margins are being constrained.

Math on the rate cap for cash advances needs redoing

States have began introducing many rate of interest caps on loans. Usually about a 36 percent APR on cash advances is where the cap lies. There are some difficulties with a 36 percent cap even though it may seem logical. First, one can hardly assess the fees on a cash advance or payday cash loan as APR. Annualized Percentage Rates should hardly apply to a loan that matures in two weeks or less. Let's say a loan lender lends $100. Say the charge is $20. If that $20 fee were compounding once a month, the APR is 240 percent. If it is assumed to compound each two weeks, that $20 fee is 480 percent annual interest. Simple interest can be used at the ration of total amount paid vs. total amount borrowed. That means it is only 20 percent interest for the $100 to have a $20 fee.

Wondering Cui Bono

The phrase “cui bono”, in Latin, basically means “Who Benefits?”. Short term loan rate caps benefit only a couple of institutions. These are credit unions and banks of course. Credit cards look a lot more attractive than pay day loans when APR is the standard. Payday advance looks much better though when considering the total amount a person pays back in simple interest vs. a credit card.

More terrible price ceilings

Price ceilings are what rate caps can be compared to. The business is told it can only charge a certain amount for its product. This means that the margin for profit is drastically reduced, and also the consumer can’t benefit from price competition. Owners of 50 percent of payday cash advance loan stores are small. They’re small business owners rather than giants. The economy sucks. It shouldn't be punishing these people. Want to know more? Check out the Payday cash advance loan Facts and Statistics Report on Personal Money Store.

Marriage is outdated - research indicates transforming U.S.

American matrimony - almost obsolete, says Pew team

The definition of matrimony can vary, depending upon the source. Yet regardless of whether it’s an emotional, economic or statutory arrangement, it may be nearly outdated in America, indicates the Pew Research Center. More United States kids than ever in recorded history are living in single-parent family members where that parent is divorced, separated or was never married within the first place, writes the Associated Press. Source for this article – Study suggests marriage may be nearly obsolete by Personal Money Store.

Does a marriage need to take place to be a family?

In conjunction with Time magazine, the Pew group research indicates that not only is the notion of the importance of matrimony in flux, however the definition of the American family members is more fluid than ever. With matters of poverty and unmarried couples especially, the Census Bureau has had to get definitions on what constitutes a family that are more adapted to now and days.

The Pew group explains that matrimony is not exactly what a family has to have anymore. Dr. Andrew Cherlin, sociology and public policy professor at Johns Hopkins University, told the AP that "Now you will find several ways to have a successful family life and more individuals accept them.”

Details concerning the brand new United States households

The Pew marriage and family study shows that there are quite a few kids in homes with single or two parent homes that have parents who are not married anymore or just not married at all. In fact, 29 percent of kids live this way. In 1960, there were five times less that many family members doing that. 39 percent of individuals in the Pew study gave one large answer to a question. They said that marriage was going to become outdated soon. In 1978, just 28 percent of Americans felt that way. Since only 52 percent of adults 18 and older were married within the September 2010 U.S. census data, it’s clear the Pew findings have a correlation.

The economy is so dismal

About 80 percent of those responding said that "an unmarried, opposite-sex couple with children or a single parent" is considered a family, 60 percent said a same-sex couples with children were family members and almost every person agreed that a married couple is a family. The unmarried life is something economics has affected quite a bit. For opposite-sex unmarried couples, numbers jumped by 13 percent from this past year alone. Fewer individuals have been willing to commit to long-term matrimony with the unemployment as it is. Also, rates have declines as more "alternative" family members have been given benefits like health insurance.

Chinese vase brings about sensation following massive selling price

An uncommon Chinese vase was found in an attic room and sold for enormous amounts. The vase became the most costly ever sold, fetching more than 53 million pounds or $85 million. The vase had been stored in an attic for years, as the owner was oblivious to its value. It’s likely from the late 18th century.

Vase in attic room that's Chinese

According to the Telegraph, there was a woman and her son who had the vase left to them by her brother while they’re anonymous following selling it. The vase was sitting within the woman’s attic following her brother inherited it from an uncle, an “adventurer” who brought the vase back from China and left it to his nephew, who left it in turn to his sister. The vase just sat someplace getting dusty. The woman then put it on her bookshelf. At some time she decided to get it appraised. It came out to $1,300 or 800 pounds. The woman was told the vase was worth much more than that following she took it to the auction house Bainbridges. The vase was suspected to be from the royal collection of the Qianlong emperor of Hongli as it was from the Qing dynasty. It will go back to the 18th century in how old it is. It was probably fired in the imperial kilns as it has the royal seal in it.

Message of rare Chinese vase spreads

Everyone began talking over it. This led to an auction where there were a ton of Chinese collectors all set to buy the vase. It took a long time for the bidding to end. It was a 30 minute round of bidding. The gavel fell on the winning bid of more than 53 million pounds ($85 million United States of America). The Daily Mail explained the winner had missed out on an uncommon Chinese vase earlier this year. This Chinese industrialist was not about to let that happen again. The gavel was shattered while the auctioneer, Peter Bainbridge, banged it so hard. It costs a lot to get uncommon Chinese porcelain. It is valuable to many.

The taxman cometh

The family had to pay fees of about 12 million pounds after paying 9 million pounds as part of the auction commission. The auctioneer does not generally handle things more than 500 pounds which made this a fantastic discover.

Eid al-Adha commencing Nov. 16 is one of the biggest Muslim holidays

It’s no wonder that Islam and the west can’t understand each other whenever you consider Muslim holiday season. One of the biggest Muslim holiday seasons, "Eid al-Adha," is a three day affair that begins November sixteen. The spending orgies of a western Christmas contrast sharply with "stoning of the Devil," the central practice of Eid al-Adha. Article source – Muslim holidays – pilgrims gather for stoning of the Devil Nov. 16 by Personal Money Store.

Holiday for Muslims is Eid al-Adha

Dec 7 is the Islamic New Year while Dec sixteen is Ashura. The upcoming Eid al-Adha will just be beginning the holiday season. Muslim pilgrims made their way down the Mina Valley in Saudi Arabia on Tues. This was all so the Jamarat Pillars might have pebbles thrown at them. The Prophet Abraham resisting the devil is what the act symbolizes. The story says the devil wanted Abraham to not kill his only son Ishmael as Allah had commanded. Supposedly Abraham threw rocks at Satan so that he would go back to Hell and give up on what he wanted.

Pilgrims experience again stoning of the devil

Abraham’s wife Hagar tried to stop him from killing Ishmael. Ishmael wasn’t thrilled over it either. Three Jamarat Pillars represent the devil. This is all within the practice for Eid al-Adha. The devil is represented with the largest. It’s about how he tried to get Abraham to disobey Allah by means of temptation. The second represents the devil tempting Hagar to try and stop him from killing their only son. Ishmael being tempted by the devil is what the third represents. It is because he pleaded for his life.

Muslim holidays lethal

Muslim holidays have been known to trigger fatal occurrences. You can only get the Jamarat Pillars by passing the Jamarat Bridge. Yearly, the Muslim pilgrims all have to cross it. The stoning of the devil ritual has become almost extremely hard to control, and on several occasions hundreds of Muslim pilgrims have been suffocated or crushed. Saudi authorities decided they needed to help stop the problem. This is why the Jamarat Bridge was expanded into five levels. To improve crowd management, the Jamarat Pillars were exchanged with large walls to hustle the devil-stoners by means of at higher volumes.

Russians not happy with Viktor Bout extradition to United States

The extradition Tues from Thailand to the United States of suspected weapons dealer Viktor Bout, who has earned the nickname "Merchant of Death," was met with a strong negative reaction from the Russian govt. Bout, a Russian whose exploits inspired the 2005 movie “Lord of War” starring Nicholas Cage, has been in a Thai jail since his arrest in a 2008 sting. His extradition to face terrorism charges within the U.S. angered the Russians and is seen as a possible threat to healing U.S./Russia relations.

The reason why Viktor Bout can make Russians worried

After Washington tried for two years to get Viktor Bout extradited on terrorism charges, he got on a plane to the United States Tues. The Thai government resisted intense pressure from Moscow to set Bout free. In 2008, he was arrested by the United States Drug Enforcement Administration working with the Royal Thai Police. He was trying to sell weapons to Columbian rebels worth $5 million. Bout says he didn't do what he's being accused of. An arms dealer is out of his realm. His business was supposedly about delivering goods. Inaccessible places throughout the world were where he focused on delivering. Bout having Russian military intelligence is what many think. United States officials finding out about it would be the major concern.

The Merchant of Death

Viktor Bout is suspected of furnishing ruthless warlords within the Middle East, South America and Africa with weapons. The global weapons operation that Bout had employed about 300 people supposedly. He was a previous lieutenant within the Russian military. Stories broke that Bout’s corporations were funneling weapons to the Taliban in Afghanistan in 2002. He was caught in 2008 after going underground for years. Posing as buyers for the Columbian rebels, the DEA agents caught him. Having missiles, drones, landmines and other weapons was what a DEA indictment is accusing Bout of.

Utilizing him for the United States of America and Russia game

When Viktor Bout was shipped to the United States, the Russian foreign ministry called his extradition illegal and politically motivated. This might hurt the relationship between the U.S. and Russia a bit. President Barack Obama and Dimitry Medvedev have been working on relations between the two countries. Many say that Viktor Bout will not do too much to hurt since last summer's Russian spy scandal that Anna Chapman was involved in did not make a difference. Problems will not come from that. They’re more likely to come if the U.S./Russia nuclear treaty doesn't go through with the Republicans having control of the United States congress.

California Illegal immigrants get in-state tuition benefit

Illegal immigrants who have attended at least three years of high school in California are still eligible to attend state universities at the in-state tuition rate, claims the CA Supreme Court. Supporters of immigrant causes have trumpeted the landmark legal protection. Legal residents who pay more for tuition when they move from one state to another – in an entirely legal manner – are rather upset regarding the in-state tuition judgment, though. Article resource – Illegal immigrants get in-state tuition rate in California by Personal Money Store.

In-state tuition protection creating history with records

The law in the nation hasn't ever been challenged before in this way as the CA court's protection of in-state college tuition eligibility for undocumented immigrants is going through. In addition to California, nine other states currently allow illegal immigrants to receive in-state college tuition if they have attended at least three years of high school within the state. Much more is paid by students who don't meet this requirement until they’re able to become residents of the state where the college is located with a state college.

Resistance will not create modify with high costs

In-state college tuition is something that students who are within the country legally ought to be given. This benefit isn't something that ought to go to undocumented workers. Illegal immigrants pay $23,000 less a year on academics because of the in-state college tuition benefit system the University of California has. The Immigration Reform Law Institute in WA, D.C., estimates that more than 25,000 undocumented students attend California state colleges and pay in-state college tuition. The estimated cost to the state exceeds $200 million.

Discussion concerning in-state college tuition judgment and federal law

Federal law bars undocumented immigrants from receiving higher education benefits based upon residency. Pacific Lawful Foundation attorney Ralph Kasarda shows how the federal law is being violated using the in-state tuition judgment. Thus, the case will likely be appealed to the United States Supreme Court.

“California is not in sync with the federal mandate against giving Brownie points for being an illegal immigrant,” Kasarda told the Los Angeles Times.

Officials in CA say there is no problem. No issue needs to be resolved. They claim that under the state’s nonresident college tuition exemption, public colleges might extend in-state tuition to those who attended California high schools for three years or more. Whether the students are illegal immigrants or not isn’t taken into account by CA.

merger between advertising with the Newsweek Daily Beast Business

Earlier today, “The Daily Beast” and “Newsweek” announced that they would be combining. This had been announced by the newest blended editor Tina Brown. These two advertising companies will continue operations, with changes. The partnership is full 50 percent. The 2 various news advertising outlets may have two very various styles of approaching the news. Article resource – Newsweek Daily Beast – Marrying to go 2 different directions by Personal Money Store.

‘The Daily Beast’ and ‘Newsweek’ merge

For news and editorial, "The Daily Beast" is the place to go. For about two years, it has been running. Stephen Colvin, founder of "The Week" and "Maxim," and Tina Brown, former editor of "Vanity Fair, run it together. Sidney Harmon bought "Newsweek" for $1 from "The Washington Post". "Newsweek" plans to continue operations. It has been going for 77 years already.

Two different partners working in media

There was an NPR interview that Tina Brown was in. The Newsweek Daily Beast Company is one she was excited to work on. She said "Newsweek" will go a different direction while there will be a perfect web-based news cycle that is "beast-like" and is accessible 24/7. Since the web can't really support investigative, "meaningful" journalism, she said that magazines will work better.

…having done so much Web news now, I can really see what a magazine can offer, which is unique in the marketplace … is a different kind of narrative rhythm. … In a magazine you are able to be more reflective…

As "The Daily Beast" is well known for "animal-like" energy, it will continue to be like that. Newsweek, on the other hand, could be the "arm" of the company in the investigative journalism.

What the Newsweek Daily Beast Company would do

The new Newsweek Daily Beast Company has a full 50 percent split of control. So far, the InterActive Corp and Barry Diller are financing. This is how "The Daily Beast" has gotten by. There is a reason you recognize Barry Diller's name. He created USA Broadcasting and Fox Broadcasting Company. Expedia also has Diller as a chairman. Sidney Harmon only had to pay $1 for "Newsweek." This was because between 2007 and 2009 there was a 38 percent drop in revenue. The two companies will share profits and revenues, and the hope is the partnership will shore up “Newsweek’s” cuts, which for just the first quarter for 2010 clocked in at $11 million.

TSA pats down weeping 3-year-old, attracts criticism

Airport security post-9/11 has been a tedious process for all involved, from passengers to screeners. What was once a tedious process has now become and invasion of personal space and liberty, argue many. In Chattanooga, Tenn., the way one TSA formal handled a young child proves the process is in need of revision, writes Hot Air. The Transportation Security Administration screener pats down the 3-year-old in a manner that clearly indicates a lack of sensitivity – and the whole thing was captured on cell phone video by the child’s father, who happens to be a Television news reporter. Source for this article – TSA official pats down distraught 3-year-old girl by Personal Money Store.

Transportation Security Administration pats down after a tantrum for a teddy bear takes place

The Transportation Security Administration pat down of 3-year-old Mandy Simon – daughter of Houston Television news reporter Steve Simon – began when Mandy was separated from her stuffed animal at a scanner checkpoint. The TSA said the child needed a "closer inspection," which meant a hand scanner and pat down were required following Mandy started crying terrible. Whether TSA officials had severe reason to believe that Mandy Simon was an explosives mule for al-Qaeda is unclear; such things have occurred with children and the mentally impaired in Iraq. Thus, the United States Department of Homeland Security mandates that such invasive procedures occur, despite their intensely unpopular standing with passengers and airport staff.

Just look into the video though. It’s precisely what it looks like. Checking with the mom and dad about whether an inspection was really necessary is something that Hot Air thinks Transportation Security Administration ought to have done first.

U.S. doing what Israel does

According to accounts, Israel has not had an airport security breach in decades. Their methods are said to be both more comprehensive and more subtle than what Transportation Security Administration currently utilizes within the United States. If TSA screeners were properly trained in what to look for, the random sample method would be unnecessary, argues the Wall Street Journal. Hot Air explained that "Mugging random 3-year-olds" is something that would no longer take place. It may be less traumatic if the child's fear or anger were redirected rather than searching the young child. Janet Napolitano and the TSA's images that are now really bad and might get better if there were proper training and proper attitudes with consumer service.

I Heart Boobies cancer of the breast bracelets get kids in trouble

Breast cancer awareness is important, even to young girls like Kayla Martinez, 12, and Brianna Hawk, 13. "I Heart Boobies" is the slogan that adorns the wristbands they once wore to schooling – once because Easton Area Middle Schooling in Pa suspended the girls for wearing them to school. It then became a free speech issue, which the American Civil Liberties Union was happy to elevate into a lawsuit against the schooling district on behalf of the middle-school girls.

'I Heart Boobies’ wristbands will cost you $4

The ACLU believes the “I Heart Boobies” lawsuit filed on behalf of Kayla Martinez and Brianna Hawk is the first such case in the nation regarding the breast cancer awareness product. Students love the "I Heart Boobies" rubber wristbands which the Keep A Breast Foundation of Carlsbad, California produces. School officials in Easton argue that the slogan invites inappropriate discussion and "trivializes a significant illness.". Throughout the United States, many schools have banned the wristbands.

Carrying out a strict dress rule

Kayla and Brianna had their parents’ permission to wear the "I Heart Boobies" bracelets, however schooling authorities felt they posed too much of a distraction. The principal and the girls got together and had a talk which led to an agreement. The site URL would be shown instead of the "I Heart Boobies" slogan as the girls wore the wristband inside out. The Easton Area Middle School changed its mind later. It decided the dress code was being broken with them.

Vulgarity concern discussed

There is a problem with the Easton Schooling rule being broken with the "I Heart Boobies" bracelets. It is since the word "boobies" seems on them. The schooling had no problem with its teachers wearing Breast cancer Awareness Month T-shirts to school during October. "Breast" was on the shirts. The T-shirts were evidently ok though. As part of the free speech lawsuit, the ACLU plans to argue that "boobies" may be "silly and irreverent, however not lewd or indecent," writes the AP. The demand that the American Civil Liberties Union has is the First Amendment rights of Kayla and Brianna be reinstated. The "I Heart Boobies" ban would have to be lifted. The suit also would have the girls have the expulsion lifted from scholastic file while also allowing the girls to attend all schooling functions once again.

U.S. hunger report indicates high amounts of food insecurity

American families are struggling to put food on the table as much as this past year, says the Department of Agriculture. However, the amount of food insecurity – difficulty feeding one or more family members because of lack of cash – is at the greatest recorded amount since the federal government started keeping track of the statistic in 1995.

Food insecurity in almost 15 percent of U.S. homes

Food insecurity status was given to 14.7 % of American households in 2009. That means that 17.4 million households are under this status. Regarding 45 million individuals are in these households. The Department of Agriculture explains that "very low food security" was the status given to one-third of those homes.

Paying for food becoming harder

Food insecure homes cited in the study typically went as least a few days per month over a seven-month period with moderate to severe food problems. Those households run by single parents were substantially more likely to experience food security troubles than two-parent households. Minors were more prone to food insecurity such as African-American and Hispanic homes. Suburbs and rural areas tended to have more households with this status as well.

What food insecure homes could get

Not surprisingly, the vast majority of homes that qualified as food insecure according to the Department of Agriculture’s research were on some form of federal assistance. Specifically, these homes benefit from one or more of the following initiatives: the Supplemental Nutrition Help Program, the National Schooling Lunch Program, or the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Kids (WIC). The first Supplemental Nutrition Help Program saw an 18.7 percent increase in advantages granted last year, while the lunch program (5.4 %) and WIC (5.8 %) also showed significant gains.

Help is needed

The reports the Department of Agriculture came out with are showing just how essential these programs are. The Obama administration is looking at getting the federal deficit down which makes the programs look quite easy to cut. These programs are for the well-being of American families USDA Undersecretary for Food, Nutrition and Consumer Services Kevin Concannon explained to Cable News Network. The restrictions on how benefits are used are one thing that those against the programs point out need to be changed.

Cuban govt not amused with Castro in Black Ops game

The inclusion of Castro within the "Call of Duty – Black Ops" video game does not sit well with the Cuban government. In the beginning level of the hugely prosperous entry within the "Call of Duty" video game collection, players go on a quest to assassinate Castro at about the time of the Cuban Revolution. The video game was tagged as encouraging psychopathic conduct.

Fidel Castro mission causes controversy

Activision came out with "Call of Duty – Black Ops” where there is a Special Operations Group behind enemy lines that the players within the regular game mode go on missions within the Cold War era. There are many flashbacks going on for the missions. Anywhere between Cuba and Vietnam there might be a mission. Assassinating Fidel Castro is the first mission to complete. It is during the Bay of Pigs invasion too. The Cuban government is mad about the video game despite the fact that it is one of one of the most successful of all time, Reuters reports. The government of Cuba alleges the game “stimulates sociopathic attitudes” among youth. Cuban officials also bitingly add that the game is the United States trying to do virtually what it “did not achieve in more than 50 years.”.

Castro also part of hidden level

The multiplayer mode of the game features the “Black Ops” zombie's option, where players battle legions of the undead, as outlined by Kotaku. You will find many characters available for play. Among these are Fidel Castro, Richard Nixon, Robert S. McNamara and John F. Kennedy. Cuba didn't talk at all about how Fidel Castro had been within the "Black Ops" multiplayer level. It is fair that the Cuban government is offended by all of this though.

Family Jewels had been mentioned

The Central Intelligence Agency released a record called "Family Jewels." This had been in 2007. There were attempts to assassinate Fidel Castro in the report. Everything from an exploding cigar to poisoning Castro's wetsuit were used by the U.S. government while contracting with organized crime. The video game “Call of Duty – Black Ops” is only a video game, but it touches on what is still a sore subject for Cuba.

Gingerbread Android platform might debut shortly

Black Friday might see a new iOS and the new Gingerbread Android OS. Nothing is entirely known. Nevertheless, Gingerbread is the all however confirmed name of Android 2.3, and Google just posted Twitter pictures of Android emblem shaped gingerbread cookies. Android 2.3 is also rumored to be the standard operating system of the eagerly awaited Nexus S intelligent phone. Post resource – Gingerbread Android platform may debut soon by Personal Money Store.

Gingerbread Android beginning to be hear about

New versions of the Android OS are hotly awaited, just like Apple updates are. Froyo had been the Android 2.2 released in 2009 as probably the most recent Android OS. There had been an Android system before that. Éclair was the name. A release date has not been confirmed yet for the Gingerbread Android OS, but Google set the rumor mill turning when the Google Twitter page posted a picture of gingerbread cookies shaped like the Android logo. Video footage also showed that there is something new on the Google campus. The Android statue area, reports PC Magazine, has a new statue. Most OS for the smartphone features are unknown. There weren't any information released. The release date for Gingerbread isn’t known yet.

Nexus S seeing it release at the exact same time

The Nexus One sequel has been talked about for a when as the next generation of Google phones. The new Nexus phone, by HTC, or the Nexus S, is an eagerly awaited phone release. Daily Tech reports that the Android 2.3 will probably come on the phone. It isn’t confirmed yet, but it is entirely possible the Nexus S is going to be the first phone to come with Gingerbread standard. The quicker it releases, the better for Google.
Christmas fight for it

For retail, Christmas is a big time. In fact, that is where retail is most used. We don't know much about the Android Gingerbread OS and Nexus S. They are rumors still. Seems like like many may try to show down for Black Friday though with the release of iOS 4.2 coming soon.

Pilots union directs total revolt towards TSA

In air terminals, it could be tough to get through security. Even those that work in air terminals are having a very tough time. A few pilots unions are calling these safeguards screenings illegal and are calling for a revolt towards the TSA. So-called "advanced screening techniques" are coming under hefty fire, being termed every little thing from "molestation" to "unconstitutional.

Up, up and away, TSA

With the permission of two of the largest pilot's unions in The US, a revolt against the TSA is going to happen one way or another. In most airports across the United States, travelers, including pilots, are required to submit to either a full-body scan or “extensive” patdown. The full-body scan reveals and shows what amounts to a nude image of the traveler. Though those images are supposed to be “privacy filtered” and immediately removed, the Electronic Privacy Details Center has found that they are really stored, and some are saved for later “training” use. Some airports also do "patdown's" where the private areas on your body are no exception for the checking.

Lawsuit the reason why TSA revolt happened

Though it began with just a few incidents, the pilot’s unions are taking a stand for both their members and also the traveling public. The "unreasonable search" clause in the U.S. Constitution is cited by a Tennessee pilot that is suing the U.S. Government. He thinks that there is too much of a search. Security screening procedures are being posted by the TSA as a reaction which is making some travelers uneasy about privacy protections. In fact, the TSA site no longer states anything about the so-called “privacy algorithm.”

TSA revolt causes ’security’ to be questioned

In October, the enhanced screening procedures were ruled out following the “security of the traveling public" was looked at more closely. Is the U.S. Government and Transportation Security Administration going too far? That is the question. Is "safety" really that essential? Is radiation exposure and also the nude images within the screenings that make people ill worth it? This revolt against the TSA is being led by pilots, but do you think passengers will join in?

Facebook and Project Titan - A winning webmail duo?

While Google has a head start in the webmail client area with Gmail, Facebook believes there is a Gmail monster that is prepared for the world. According to TechCrunch, this large-scale project is the Venture Titan the world has been hearing about for a when. The full-featured webmail client will give Google some severe competition for market share within the webmail field.

Since Feb we've heard of the Gmail killer

Gizmodo explained that Project Titan is the name of Facebook's Gmail killer. Facebook's current messaging platform will be exchanged with this. Users may have a @facebook.com e-mail address with a full POP and IMAP support. Facebook users will be able to send messages to anyone outside of the Facebook community while including message search capability. Performing basic online tasks could be done on Facebook by users without going anywhere else. Considering that Facebook has upwards of 500 million active users (according to their Press Room), keeping everyone inside the borders of Facebook is a profitable proposition, indeed.

Project Titan is a huge upgrade

TechCrunch explains what Project Titan really is. It won't be a simple upgrade to message services that already exist. It could be a full-powered webmail client. It will be like all other new products though. All bugs could have to be fixed in the beginning. A "huge amount of potential" is seen by those looking into it though.

Online world all about Facebook

Facebook already owns social networking. Everyone knows that. Also, it has a fantastic micropayments system with the games along with events calendar products and photo storage products. It is possible that the Gmail killer Project Titan really could work seamlessly into existing platforms while also cutting into Gmail's webmail market share. If this happens, Mark Zuckerberg and his company can be in for it. This is probably why the freedom of contract data made Google mad at Facebook last week. The Gmail killer could possibly be coming pretty soon.

AK vote count lead goes to Murkowski

Joe Miller has fallen behind Lisa Murkowski in the AK vote count. Miller has filed a federal suit to get some of the votes tossed. Murkowski also slammed Palin in a recent interview.

Murkowski within the head with Alaska vote count up at the moment

Miller is now behind Lisa Murkowski in the Alaska Senate election. This has been an Alaska vote count up that has been debated a ton. Former governor Sarah Palin wasn't excited to discover that even though Miller won beat Murkowski in the Alaska Republican primary, Murkowski decided to complete a write-in campaign. Miller is a Tea Party Republican, and was heavily backed by Palin. An endorsement from Palin might end up meaning little for Miller. The Anchorage Daily News explains that Murkowski has a 92,164 to 90,458 head to miller right now. You will find 8,000 ballots that have yet to be counted. Of course, Murkowski has gotten about 97 percent of write-in ballots. 7,601 of the votes have been challenged by Joe Miller so far. The judge has yet to respond to him. The hope for Murkowski is that t! he law will allow the intent to be interpreted.

Sarah Palin gets a slap in the face from Murkowski

Palin and Murkowski have a somewhat bitter history, as Palin has taken numerous swipes at Murkowski in the press. Columbia Broadcasting System accounts that Katie Couric interviewed Lisa Murkowski where she said the "leadership skills" are something Palin doesn't have while she "lacks intellectual curiosity" like a President needs. She said that Palin got out of office as soon as possible after serving her half term as governor where she was not engaged hardly at all.

Final vote count up ahead

The last Alaska vote count isn’t far off, as the last ballots are being gathered and reviewed. Still pending is the lawsuit from Miller. It might just end up getting tossed out if it does not receive a move on. Should Murkowski win, it will be the first write-in candidate elected to office in over 50 years.

Oct sales garner massive Ford Motors and GM earnings

General Motors and Ford Motors profit greatly from October revenue

GM and Ford revenue were large in Oct. large earnings were realized by GM and Ford on the back of great October auto sales. The modified revenue rate for Oct had been within the dual digits, and home-based automakers are reaping large benefits. General Motors isn’t only posting record profits, but an initial public offering of General Motors share is about to happen.

Oct sales for General Motors and Ford are significant

The auto industry showed recovery again through Oct auto sales after September showed the opposite. The Cash for Clunkers program had auto sales crashing since 2009 when it ended but that has changed. CNN reports that Ford and General Motors had the largest gains from September to October when the overall gain was 13 percent. Compared to last Oct, General Motors posted a 4 percent sales gain. General Motors, so far this year, has had an increase of 22 percent. Ford, on the other hand, has posted a 15 percent gain overall since October 2009. Sales were driven especially by full size pickups. If you forget about Volvo, Ford sales are up 19 percent. Geely, a Chinese auto firm, buys the Volvo.

Soon to determine General Motors IPO

General Motors is already touting a GM stock offering as imminent. Before Thanksgiving, an original public offering is expected. This is what the company will be giving. It is possible for the IPO to happen on November 17. This would be just a week after 3rd quarter earnings are reported by GM. The $34 billion quarter expects much of that to come from General Motors. About $1.9 and $2.1 billion is expected to be reported. Supposedly the Treasury will release a lot of General Motors shares. Through the auto bailout they obtained these.

Seeing what the future holds

The IPO could greatly reduce the GM shares the government holds. It would go from 61 percent to 43.3 percent possibly. GM stock prices should be within the $23 to $29 range. Both firms have had great years. Hopefully 2011 will be good years too for the companies.

Dreamliner postponed yet again after test flight event

Boeing customers waiting patiently for distribution of their Dreamliner's got another bit of bad news about the plagued 787. A 787 test flight concluded with an emergency landing Tuesday when pilots reported fumes in the main cabin. Additional examination routes are on hold for now as Boeing searches for a cause and deals with other issues that have delayed 787 production, including issues with Rolls-Royce motors that have surfaced after the British companies products failed in flight on 2 various airlines last week. Post resource – Boeing stops 787 Dreamliner test flights after emergency landing by Personal Money Store.

Boing with a 787

The Laredo Airport in Texas had been about to view the Boeing 787 Dreamliner involved. It had just left Yuma, Arizona on a test flight. The pilot reported smoke coming from the back of the main cabin. The 42 people crew got out of emergency exit chutes after the 787 had been landed safely. An injury was reported by one person. The company didn’t say how long it would take to determine the cause of the problem. The electronic systems within the aircraft, such as wiring or lighting, could have been where the smoke originated from `The electronic system could have caused the smoke in the aircraft. This includes wiring and lighting. Boeing ruled out the Dreamliner’s Rolls-Royce engines and said rumors the 787 lost power were untrue.

The features of the Dreamliner

The product for Boeing is really important. The 787 Dreamliner is the future for the company. There had been fuel efficiency in mind when this aircraft had been designed. It is good for the economy. Composite materials were used for the plane only, and it is the first within the world to do this. Other planes its size use 20 percent more fuel than it does. May 2008 was when the 787 was supposed to start being used. The production was delayed because outside suppliers have created collaboration challenges. A test flight for the Dreamliner didn't even happen until December 2009. That had been long after it had been supposed to come out. Probably the most ever ordered for a plane being developed has happened with the 787. In fact, 850 have already been ordered around the world.

Considering the future of Boeing

As Boeing has been trying to get the Dreamliner flying, the 787 test flight suspension is just one of the setbacks. The engine is a problem since it is Rolls-Royce manufactured. This is because two airbus A380s failed just last week in flight. You will find Rolls-Royce engines in many of the Dreamliner's. 17 of the 25 that are in the flight line have had this problem. Deliveries will take longer than expected while production numbers are lower than expected. This is what Boeing explained to Wall Street Investors. Boeing stock fell. There was a 3 percent drop.

Jay Leno had long prepared to hand off “The Tonight Show” at some time, and the torch was duly passed to Conan O'Brien in June 2009. The "Jay Leno Show" didn't fare as well as he had hoped and was slowly dying. Though the exact nature of the decision will never be known, it appeared that Conan O’Brien had been being bumped from the traditional time slot of the “Tonight Show” at 11:35 p.m. to 12:35, for the sake of getting Jay Leno into better ratings. Why is there such a time gap for his new show and leaving his last? Supposedly it is because he had to wait 6-months before he could appear regularly on any other TV show.

Anticipation for this new show

The show "Conan" is expected to be a hit. O'Brien has a huge fan base that has been anxiously waiting since January for his next more.

FL educational facilities locked down after shooting danger phoned in

In FL state, Broward County has locked down its educational facilities. The danger of a school shooting led to the lock down. At least seventeen educational facilities were locked down. As a whole, Broward County is the largest school district in the area. The danger that was e-mailed into the radio station also mentioned government structures.

Lockdown in schools in Broward County, Florida

The Fort Lauderdale suburb of Pembroke Pines is where the first Florida school lockdown began. All 17 schools ended up in lockdown within the school district. This affected 260,000 students. School spokeswoman Nadine Drew said the schools are “operating as normal as possible.”. Lockdowns mean that moving in or out of school building and even classrooms is prohibited. The plan is for the lockdown to stay until it is safe. Police have to clear the buildings.

Threat to Broward County, Florida

The schools were shut down after a woman called a radio station saying that her husband was “going to a school to start shooting.”. An e-mail had been also sent to the station, which was forwarded on to authorities in Broward County claimed that “something big was going to happen” around government buildings. Police said that the identities of the man and his wife are not yet confirmed. There is no longer a serious threat though.

All about school lockdowns

It is still quite new to understand "locking down" a school. It is common for both U.S. and Canadian schools to now hold “lockdown drills.”. Most commonly, a lockdown confines teachers and students to their classrooms. The theory is that this will restrict movements and keep everybody within the school more safe. In the last few years, the 300 schools within the Broward County school district have been having lockdown drills.

National Inflation Association utilizes Inflation to market gold

This morning, the National Inflation Association was cited in a push for Food Insurance. The National Inflation Association is an organization, headed by Gerard Adams, that profits off fear of inflation. Given that Glenn Beck has gotten into trouble for pushing gold, and also the National Inflation Association connection to gold, the statistics of the Association have to be carefully examined.

Who is within the National Inflation Association

The National Inflation Association is run by a man. Gerard Adams is this man. Being a stock analyst is something Adams loves. In fact, he tells individuals which stocks to sell and purchase with the "Wall Street Grand" newsletter. The National Inflation Association site states that:

"One of our missions at the National Inflation Association is to …profile companies that we believe will prosper in an inflationary environment. Typically we will bring to you producing, profitable, Gold and Silver companies."

Given that Gerard Adams makes his living off the getting and selling of stocks, it’s logical to assume that he stands to gain or lose based on the recommendations made about stocks by the Association.

Glenn Beck with the National Inflation Association

Glenn Beck had a push for "Food Insurance" on Nov 9 in his radio show where he cited National Inflation Association figures. Pushing the product is something Beck has to do. This is because Food Insurance is a sponsor and is paying Beck for it. Beck promoted gold and silver on his show once improperly within the past. Beck promoted a gold and silver dealer that had been also on the National Inflation Association site. This had been Goldline International.

Now where the National Inflation Association could be going

Selling gold and silver is the goal of the National Inflation Association which does this with fear. The National Inflation Association says that a depression leads to prices increasing, which is questionable. Remember when looking at the National Inflation Association that there might be some correct claims but be careful.

Tax on customers added by QE2 effect on commodity costs

When the Federal Reserve pumped billions of dollars into the economy with quantitative easing last week, investors rejoiced. Nevertheless, customers are holding the short end of the stick as they pay more for gasoline, food and clothes. The Fed’s move to print billions for buying bonds boosted stocks, but it is also sending prices higher for oil, corn, sugar, wheat, coffee and cotton. Source for this article – Fed QE2 imposes tax on consumers as it raises commodity prices by Personal Money Store.

The Fed taxing consumers

The central financial institution hinted at stimulating the economy after midterm elections as commodity prices went up at the beginning of Sept. People who wanted to invest their money had QE2 as good news. Less cash will be spent on things to stimulate the economy though from people and businesses that have to pay for gasoline and food. "Stagflation" which is an economic condition where the economy isn't growing as prices rise is what economists suggest will take place. The Fed printing more money could be something that makes QE2 fail though. It might make the cost of gasoline and other commodities go up a bit.

QE2 increases gas

One example is the QE2 Fed taxes on oil. Customers really feel it. The Fed announced QE2 last week. Just a day after, over $85 a barrel had been what gas prices rose to. In the last six months, costs haven't been this high. This is the case with heating oil, gasoline and crude oil. There is less cash for consumers even if oil businesses are excited. About 10 percent of income goes to gasoline and utilities with American families. On just gasoline, about $340 billion a year is spend on gas. There has been a 4.8 percent increase in the cost of gas. Since August this has happened. Another $51 billion will be staying from the economy as 10 percent is being flooded her which is what the Fed is doing.

Spend more for groceries and clothes with QE2

Commodity prices have increased a ton with QE2. This has led to commodity-dependent industries changing also. After commodity on coffee had been at a new high last week, Kraft Foods and Starbucks had to raise coffee costs, USA Today accounts. Cotton is higher leading to Jones Apparel Group and Hanes brands raising prices. McDonald’s is reported to be raising menu prices in 2011 because of rising costs for meat and sugar. If food prices rise as little as five percent, the average family will spend about $350 a year more on groceries.

Atlas Energy and Chevron make a deal for acquisition

Atlas Energy develops natural gas within the United States. A publicly-held business, Atlas Energy has received a buyout deal from Chevron valued at $ 4.3 billion. Two law firms have launched inspections to the offer. Both of these firms are shareholder-representative firms.

What the deal is from Chevron to Atlas Energy

Atlas energy has been traded within the last few months. It had been $30 to $35 for a share. An energy development business, Atlas Energy controls over 9,000 natural gas wells. Chevron, Texaco and CalTex are all used to disperse Chevron product. Fuel, additives, oils and other goods are all a part of these products. $43 a share can be paid for Atlas Energy by chevron which was announced.

Atlas Energy purchase under analysis

Chevron and Atlas Energy are both public corporations. This means that standards in acquisition agreements are expected to be kept up. Two major law firms that investigate shareholder buyout agreements have launched inquiries into the Chevron / Atlas Energy deal. These companies claim that Atlas Energy didn’t “properly shop around” to get the “true value” of Atlas Energy for its shareholders. Atlas Energy ought to have gone for anything between $47 and $65 a share. This is what analysts have said. That's a huge difference. A no fax payday advance loan cannot even compare. Since the buyout offer, Chevron shares have fallen by about 88 cents, and Atlas Energy shares have risen to slightly over $43.

A merging value to determine

It is really hard to figure out what the buyouts and mergers values really are. Publicly kept businesses have a special owner. Stockholders each own a piece of ownership. Atlas Energy has been trading for $30 a share. It is worth more than that to numerous different stockholders though. Determining the “true” value of a business can often be difficult, since it is based on a wide variety of factors. Shareholders may require more than the $4.3 million that Chevron offered to be paid if seems like Atlas Energy accepted an offer too low.

288,000 eggs recalled due to salmonella

Salmonella suggested as a factor in egg recall

An Ohio egg farm has become implicated in an egg recall. The 2nd in 2010, the FDA ordered the recall. Ohio Fresh Eggs supplied these tainted eggs to supplier Cal-Maine. Ohio Fresh Eggs is partly owned by the very same man that owns Hillandale Farms and Wright County Egg, both of whom had an egg recall earlier this year.

Egg recall impacts 288,000 eggs

Eight states in the U.S. could be impacted by the Cal-Maine foods egg recall, which is the largest egg distributer within the states. Arkansas, California, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, and Texas. There were many egg brands impacted. These include Sunny Meadow, James Farm, Sun Valley and Springfield. Here is a list of eggs recalled. The UPC codes are included. No illnesses have yet been linked to this egg recall.

Egg recall “habitual violator” connection made

There have been difficulties in the past for this farm. This is the farm that gives Cal-Maine its eggs. The Ohio Fresh Eggs farm shut down in December 2006. This took place because Austin "Jack" DeCoster invested $126 million into the farm and it was not reported. Hillandale Farms and Wright County Egg had an egg recall earlier this year that made 1,600 individuals sick. DeCoster was part of that as well.

Recalling eggs due to salmonella

Most eggs do not have salmonella bacteria in them. In every 20,000 chicken eggs, 1 egg can have salmonella which equates to, per egg, five microorganisms. An egg with 100 microorganisms will make someone sick. That is the expected amount. Keeping yourself safe from salmonella is relatively safe, however. Completely cooking eggs to a temperature of 160 degrees will kill any bacteria present. If you have the opportunity, buying eggs from a supplier you know and trust to treat the hens well is also a very good idea, as dirty or overcrowded henhouses are often incubators for salmonella outbreaks.

National Aeronautics and Space Administration Deep Impact has deep space encounter with Comet Hartley 2

A space probe called Deep Impact designed by National Aeronautics and Space Administration passed closely by Comet Hartley 2 and sent striking images back to World Thurs. The Deep Impact spacecraft completed a similar rendezvous in 2005 with Comet Tempel 1. Comet Hartley 2 had been discovered by Malcolm Hartley, an Australian astronomer who had been at the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, Calif., when images of his namesake arrived. Resource for this article – NASA Deep Impact has deep space encounter with Comet Hartley 2 by Personal Money Store.

Having an encounter in deep space

When NASA’s Deep Impact spacecraft beamed back the first photos from its rendezvous with Comet Hartley 2, scientists standing by at JPL Labs cheered and applauded. About three quarters of a mile was how long the nucleus of the comet was. It also had glowing jets of dust and gas coming out of the back of what appeared to be a giant ball of ice shaped like a drumstick. The spacecraft was in space for five years and had traveled 2.5 billion miles. Going at a speed of 27,000 mph, it flew past the Comet Hartley.

The Deep Impact mission of NASA

Scientists study comets because they harbor original ingredients from the formation of the solar system about 4.5 billion years ago. The NASA Deep Impact mission launched in January 2005 visited Comet Tempel 1. When it arrived at the comet it launched an 800-pound copper projectile into the nucleus. The composition of the comet was measured by sensors. Meeting with Comet Boethin in 2008 was what Deep impact did although when the spacecraft left, the comet broke up. It was rerouted to Hartley 2, which took another two years to reach.

Information about NASA deep space missions

Comet Hartley wasn't the first photographed comet by deep space probes. It had been actually the fifth. The other four are Halley, Wild 2, Borelli and Tempel 1. All of the comets seem to look very different. In 2006, the NASA spacecraft Stardust passed Comet Wild 2. When passing, grains of dust from its tail were captured. Later it sent the dust in a capsule back to Earth and moved on for an additional rendezvous with the target of Deep Impact’s first mission, Tempel 1, on Valentine's Day 2011.

Ugandan courtroom states no to newspaper outing gays

Being homosexual in Uganda has officially been illegal for a while, but leave it to a rabid, radical Christian fundamentalist with an ax to grind – Scott Lively of Abiding Truth Ministries – to bring the Ugandan pot to a boil. After Lively stirred the pot, Uganda is taking an additional take a look at the penalty by law. Life in jail or death for being gay in Uganda may become the lawful prescription. This came just a few months after Lively’s talk in Uganda on "the gay agenda," reports Vanguard.

Courts say that outing gays within the press cannot happen

The Ugandan court said that it is Rolling Stone paper, with no connections to the American Rolling Stone paper, BBC News reports, cannot out gays in it. The publication had been working on publishing names and photos of the homosexuals. These were just says though. Sexual Minorities Uganda is the gay rights group that asked for this to cease since public started attacking those outed by Rolling Stone Uganda. One article had the title "Hang them" in it. The judge on the case didn't like the Rolling Stone's outing practices were happening. He wanted it to stop. The title of the Uganda magazine is one thing the American Rolling Stone magazine does not appreciate. This is why the publisher is attempting to get the one in Uganda to have a name change.

Lively told Alan Colmes he does not support killing gays

Scott Lively was on the Alan Colmes radio show excerpted on Queerty where he said that Uganda is "a Christian country" and also said he doesn't approve of killing or imprisoning gays. Lively has publicly equated homosexuality with pedophilia and bestiality, a narrow-minded, fundamentalist view that seems to do his religious faith a disservice. Things such as pedophilia being "mortal sins" are still being discussed though. Apparently the Hebrews only got hot under the collar about it if the perpetrator failed to put a ring on it, metaphorically speaking.
